Veterinary Health Product Registrations:
Veterinary Health Products (VHPs) are drug products that support the general well-being of animals. VHPs contain various ingredients, including vitamins, plant material, traditional medicine ingredients, and homeopathic ingredients. Unlike veterinary products used for diseases (treatment, prevention, or cure), low-risk veterinary products do not need a Drug Identification Number (DIN).
How we help: We prepare and submit VHP applications for our clients. Our services include formula reviews, suggestions for ingredient substitutions, ingredient specification reviews, application preparation, communication with Health Canada, and post-registration support.
Additionally, we issue a one-time all-inclusive quote, which means there are no surprise charges for additional services through the registration process.

Step 1:
First, we sign a non-disclosure agreement with you (ours or yours), assuring you that anything we discuss remains strictly confidential.
Step 2:
We would then have you send us a product label and a list of medicinal and non-medicinal ingredients in your formula. Including ingredient specifications (such as ingredient’s amount, proper name, extract details, and used methods of preparation).
Step 3:
We will review the label, ingredients, and claims that appear on the product. If your product meets the VHP category, we will issue a one-time all-inclusive quote for the application.
There are no hidden or additional charges. What we quote is all that you will pay.
Step 4:
Once the quote is approved and once all product details are collected and the application package is complete, we will submit the application to Health Canada for review.
Correspondence with Health Canada during the application process is included in our initial quote.
Step 5:
Once the application is submitted to Health Canada we will issue an invoice to you, which will be the same as the quote, and ask that it be honoured upon receipt.
Step 6:
Upon registration, we will review the product label according to the regulatory requirements and send the necessary text to our translators.
Step 7:
We will send you the final review and the French translations for you to add to the label.

Application Process: The application review process is subject to a performance standard of 30 days (Health Canada) from the filing date.
Admin Screening Stage: 10-day performance target. The application is reviewed for its completeness during this stage, ensuring that all the necessary information is included in the submission package.
Information Verification Stage: 10-20 day performance target. The product information is reviewed during this stage. Once reviewed, a decision is made regarding the product.
Please note that the above-mentioned performance targets are subject to change due to COVID.
