OUR FOUNDER - LIONEL PASEN
Having grown up under the framework of Health Canada's DIN process, which has been in operation since the 1930s, and having personally relied on their services, one gains insight into the government's mindset regarding regulatory requirements.
Nearly six and a half decades ago, Mr. Pasen, at the age of 19, faced the need to register the products his family marketed in Canada. He adeptly navigated the intricacies of compliance with the law while successfully promoting these products. Over time, as natural products gained popularity, and the existing regulations for food and drugs failed to encompass the products being offered for sale, a comprehensive regulatory overhaul became imperative. Mr. Pasen found himself deeply involved in this pivotal transformation of the regulatory landscape.
Today, 65 years later, more than 70,000 natural products are legally licensed for sale in Canada. Remarkably, over 10% of these owe their legitimacy to the dedicated efforts of Mr. Pasen.
